Another interest of mine Astronomy. Fascinating photographs Phil 🙂 Have you been to the Parkes Observatory? I spent the day there then the evening at the Dubbo Observatory. The guy who owns the observatory in Dubbo is a fascinating character. Here, I had the most enjoyable educational experience of my life…… to date.
Hi Kristin, I’m glad you like the photos – the NASA archive I’m getting them from is huge and it’s very difficult choosing which images to post – they’re all fantastic. I’m posting them for several reasons – they’re beautiful – but also because they reflect the achievements of science and argue for the importance of science. Also, I think the vastness they refer to and the wonder of it helps put us and our issues on earth into context. The only observatory I’ve been to is the original one, in Sydney. Filippo
