    • Hi Kristin, that’s a very interesting point. As I spend so much time collecting and posting these images I ask myself why I am doing this – anyone can go to the NASA site and see them (plus many more) for themselves and I have no doubt the NASA website is very popular.

      I think these images (particularly one immediately after the other, in an unbroken sequence) have the potential to ‘cut us down to size’ but in a very positive and creative way. Their scale ‘cuts us down’ as a species (I think that is necessary) while their wonder and beauty draw us out, and above the petty. Phil
