Thanks Kristin, I hope a blogger I follow (Alex Markovich) might see it (no doubt he has seen it or has seen the group perform, long ago) – you can tell from his photography that he is very proud of his country and their traditions. I ‘did’ the Trans-Siberian in 1980, breaking at a few points. It was a great experience. At one point, a young mother got onto the train with her baby and came into the compartment I was in with a couple of other males (we were all strangers). She lay down on her bunk, holding her baby and sang her baby a lullaby. No way could I imagine that on the Cooma Mail…
